The new building in Maranello for Ferrari sportscars, iconic automobiles famous all over the world, was constructed including two important projects by San.Co Costruzioni Tecnologiche. The first is compartmentalisation of the car lift that takes the new Formula1 cars to the assembly level with EI 60′ glass: a 3 m high glass cube measuring 28 m around its perimeter also containing the two doors of the lift. The second project includes an Isofireglas Aluslide EI 60′ automatic aluminium and glass door separating the entrance to the new sportscar management area from the workshop area; it consists of an EI 60′ flame-resistant façade 4 m wide and 6 m high, including automatic double doors designed for intensive use, with all the accessories necessary to guarantee safe operation in compliance with standard EN 16005.
The new building combines style, practicality and efficiency, containing both workshops and technical offices. With the intention of demonstrating this area of excellence in Italy, San.Co took care of all the executive design and certification of the products, including issuing of the CERT-REI ministerial form.
